I always get confused categorically with minerals, When we were studying Mineral I.D. for the first exam I couldn’t get my mind wrapped around Feldspar as a mineral and minerals belonging to a Feldspar group. Still don’t get it 100%.

I have to say, I never knew that North Carolina is such a big mineral and rock producer. That’s wild.

I have been to the Granite Quarry in Mt. Airy. It is pretty amazing to see basically a massive hole in the ground. There is one up where I am from in Ct and it has been filled with water and turned into an outdoor theme park. Its pretty neat..
