Chocolate Hills is found in Bohol, Philippines and is composed of 1,268 perfectly round cone-shaped hills. They are the same size and spread over more than 20 square miles. This makes it a very unusual geological formation. There are many explanations of how these hills came to be such as limestone weathering, sub-oceanic volcanoes, the uplifting of the sea floor and the most recent explanation is that a volcano exploded and sent rocks to this formation and during the years it got covered in limestone and thrust up from the ocean bed. We may never know how these got there but they are a wonderful sight to behold.
I will never cease to be amazed and wonder about the many beautiful things our planet holds, from the tiniest cherry tree blossom to the magnificent mountains that can be found in abundance. So much beauty and we are so fortunate to be able to see at least a picture of these wonderful places.
